Vanamahotsava - 2026
Plant a tree, plant hope for a greener tomorrow.
Silas International School celebrated Vanamahotsava on 3rd July, 2026 with great enthusiasm and promise of shouldering the responsibility to make the planet a better and greener place to live in.
The day began with a special assembly by grade 9 students where citizens of the future were given awareness about the need to take urgent steps to save our Earth for the generations to come.
An event was also organized where the Chief Guest, our Trustee Mrs. Sharlet Maben, Principal Ms Jacintha D'Costa and the Physical Education Teachers planted saplings symbolising their commitment to the cause.
The programme also included a special song, a beautifully presented dance and speeches by students.
In her address, the Principal told the students that celebrating the day was not only about planting saplings but also ensuring that they grow into flourishing trees. The Principal also reiterated that each one of us must remember their responsibility and the pledge taken today and work consciously to fulfill the promises made.
The NCC, Scouts and Guides teams also planted saplings around the campus making their humble contribution to the oath taken.
