General Body Meeting -2026
Parents and Teachers... A child's best advocates!
The school and parents community of Silas International School came together on 20th June, 2026 in the School Hall for the first General Body Meeting of this Academic Year.
The parents filled the hall enthusiastically, keen as they were for the progress of their wards. The Trustee, Mrs. Sharlet Maben and the Principal Ms Jacintha D'Costa graced the stage. After a beautiful rendition of a prayer song and a warm welcome address, the teachers of Team Silas introduced themselves to the audience.
The Honourable Principal then addressed the gathering, putting forward all the rules to be adhered to by the students for their day to day progress followed by a short interaction with parents.
Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal, Milagres College, Kallianpur was the resource person. The experienced and multi faceted personality, Dr. Alva spoke eloquently on the challenges faced by parents and teachers in the present times. He impressed upon the audience that we need to provide excellent examples for our children to follow and learn to practice what we preach. The guest was presented with a memento, a token of our appreciation.
The session ended with the school song.
When the school and parent community colloborate, they provide the children with roots to grow and wings to fly!
