Teachers' Day Celebration
Teachers - Guiding Lights of Our Lives! Teachers make a huge difference in the lives of their students through the small efforts they make every day. To bring smiles to the faces of their beloved teachers, the students of Grade 10 of Silas International School organized a grand celebration. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of an exemplary teacher, philosopher and statesman, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. In tribute to every teacher, 5th September is celebrated as Teachers' Day across India. The celebration began on a joyous note as the teachers, led by the Principal, entered the beautifully decorated hall to loud cheers and applause. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer song followed by a warm and gracious welcome address. A student of Grade 10 then spoke eloquently on the significance of the day and the invaluable role of teachers in shaping lives. The cultural programme added colour and cheer to the occasion. The audience was enthralled by fantastically choreographed dances, melodious songs and a humorous skit that highlighted the beautiful bond between teachers and students. The fun games organized specially for the teachers had both the participants and the audience in splits. In her address, the Principal, on behalf of all the teachers, thanked the students of Grade 10 for their sincere efforts and thoughtful gesture. She reiterated that teachers should be regarded with respect and affection every day, as their contribution to every student's life is invaluable. She also acknowledged their efforts and thanked them for their dedicated service. The Management also acknowledged the pivotal role of teachers in society with special wishes, tokens of appreciation and a delicious lunch hosted for the staff. The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the mentors who continue to inspire and guide. A good teacher inspires hope, ignites imagination and instills a love for learning!
