Career Guidance Programme – "Turning Goals into Possibilities"
"Setting goals is the first step in turning the impossible into possible." Grade 10 marks a significant turning point for students, as the choices they make now can shape the course of their future. Keeping this in mind, Silas International School organized a Career Guidance Programme for the students of Grade 10 and their parents. We were honored to host Mr. Navin Paul, Co-founder & CEO of Draw My Career, as the Resource Person for the session. Mr. Paul began by emphasizing the importance of making informed decisions regarding subject streams, colleges, and career paths. He provided a comprehensive overview of career opportunities across diverse fields including Medicine, Engineering, Teaching, Armed Forces, Administrative Services, Technology, Business, and more. He also guided students on: - Top colleges offering courses in each field. - Approximate fee structures. - Scholarships and financial aid options available to students. Highlighting the changing job landscape, Mr. Paul also spoke about emerging and unconventional career options that are becoming highly rewarding in today’s world. The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from both students and parents, who raised several questions and received clear, practical answers. As part of the programme, Mr. Paul and his team conducted aptitude tests. Many students took the tests with great interest and were amazed to discover career fields that matched their strengths and interests. In her address, the Principal urged students to make the most of this opportunity provided to them. She reminded them that in today’s fast-changing world, it is essential to stay well-informed and keep alternate options ready to avoid disappointment later. The session concluded with gratitude from parents and students, who found it both insightful and empowering. Do what you love, and success will follow.
